Custom pencil portraits

I create highly realistic pencil drawings from your emailed photos. I offer three standard sizes of custom pencil portraits of men, women, children and pets. These portraits are finely detailed pencil renderings created in a realistic style.

These drawings are lead or colored pencil renderings on top quality felt drawing paper. All pencil drawings are signed by the artist, sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging, and are ready to matte and frame when delivered. Picture framing can be included for an additional charge.

As you can see, I also enjoy drawing pop culture images and can draw pencil portraits working from your favorite celebrity photos. This portrait of American Idol's Jason Castro is an example of my work. The original is 11" x 17". Click the image to see a close-up view of the pencil stroke details.

How to order your own pencil drawing...

Step 1:
Email your digital photos. The more photos you send, the better. 2 minimum. Larger photos preferred. Attach .jpg or .gif formats. If you cannot supply digital photos, you can mail or ship regular photos that will be returned with the completed drawing.
*NOTE: More fine detail in the photos you send will result in more detail in your finished drawing.

Tell me in your email what size you want to order:
8" x 10" = $79.00 for graphite pencil, $99.00 for colored pencil
10" x 14" = $169.00 for graphite pencil, $199.00 for colored pencil
12" x 18" = $249.00 for graphite pencil, $299.00 for colored pencil
*NOTE: Interested in a group portrait? To add 1 other face to a drawing, increase each price by an additional 50%. To add 2 extra faces to a portrait, increase each price by 100%.
For example: 8" x 10" with 2 people = $118.50. 8" x 10" with 3 people = $158.00.
Custom price quotes are required for group portraits with more than 3 people.

Draft proof
I will email a first draft proof for review after the drawing has been composed and sketched.

Special requests If you need the drawing completed by a particular date, please include this in your email. Current production time is 5-6 weeks.

Step 2:
Within 48 hours, you'll receive an email order confirmation and payment request from PayPal. This email confirmation will come from cathy@clothbookcovers.com, so please be sure that doesn't end up in your spam filter. (PayPal is used for credit card payments. You can also pay by sending a personal check or money order - email for instructions.) This confirmation will include a total cost, expected production time, and a link to take you to PayPal's payment page.

Step 3:
Follow the PayPal link in the email and process your payment. Production begins once payment confirmation is received from PayPal.
It's as easy as that!
